Description
A. Objective: To find sources that are qualified to meet the supplies/services as listed in section B. Note that the specific requirements in section C are subject to change prior to the release of any solicitation. B. The Contractor shall deliver one (1) Handheld XRF Anaylizer which has the following minimum technical specifications: 1.Shall be handheld and portable, with capability to be used without a dedicated power cord. 2.Shall be able to anaylize the following elements at the same time without having to change a window or setting: Mg, Al, Si, Ti, V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Co Ni, Cu, Zn, Zr, Nb, Mo, Ag, Sn, Hf, Ta, W, Re, Pt, Au, Pb, and Bi. 3.Shall be able to verify a small pile of powder (<50 grams) 4.Detection limits shall require no more than 3000 parts per million (ppm) for light metals in period 3 of the periodic table of elements, and no more than twenty-five (25) ppm for any subsequent period. 5.Shall be able to display material nomenclature with common alloy identifications (ie, 316SS, Ti64, Al 6061, ect...). 6.The battery life shall be sufficient to support countinual use for four (4) hours between charges. 7.Shall be sealed against dust. C. Responses: All interested parties should notify this office in writing, mail, fax, or e-mail within the posted date. Responses shall include: (I)To what extent each of the specifications can be met. (II) Include your type of business (i.e. commercial, academia), whether your organization is classified as a large or small business based on the 1000 employee standard that accompanies NAICS code 334516. If a small business, you must also list any small disadvantaged status you hold [HUBZone, 8(a), Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Women Owned Small Business (WOSB), Economically Disadvantaged Women-Owned Small Business (EDWOSB), etc.]. (III)Past experience/ performance through the description of completed projects. (12) Responses to this sources sought are due no later than 11:59am eastern standard time 25 August 2017.
