- FAR 52.212-3 RFQ-Utility Task Vehicles-Kawasaki Mule-Brand Name or Equal This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a separate solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is FA3016-17-U-0289 and is being issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). The RFQ is for commercial items prepared in accordance with FAR Parts 12 & 13. This solicitation document incorporates provisions and clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) Number 2005-95, effective 19 January 2017. This Brand Name or Equal Commercial Item requirement is a 100% Small Business Set-aside for quote only by Small Business concerns and is issued in accordance with the additional information included in this notice. The associated North American Industrial Classification Systems (NAICS) code 336999 -All Other Transportation Equipment Manufacturing with a small business size standard of 1,000 employees, is applicable to this solicitation. The resultant contract will be a firm-fixed price contract under the procedures of FAR Part 12.6 and 13.5.
