This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. This combined synopsis/solicitation is issued as a request for quote (RFQ) VA262-17-Q-1273. This is a requirement for veterinary services for medical research at the Tibor Rubin VA Medical Center in Long Beach, CA. The contractor shall provide research on human chorionic gonadotropin HCG, VMU with veterinary services as needed to care for sick animals, provide professional guidance and oversight of animal facility, and provide input and recommendations pertaining to studies using animal subjects to Research & Development management, Principal Investigators and animal committee. The contractor shall have all services rendered as required by Research & Development VMU and management staff. Please ensure full understanding of the solicitation and to follow Instruction to Offers on page 27. All questions or comments must be provided to the Contracting Specialist (CS) art the email address below in writing via email no later than (NLT) August 24, 2017. Answers will be posted NLT August 29, 2017. Telephone and other means of oral communication will not be permitted. Quotes must be sent to Contract Specialist, Hyacinthe Luna, hyacinthe.luna@va.gov no later than Thursday, August 31, 2017 at 11:00am PDT.
