Page 7 of 7 This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation RFQ-VA250-17-Q-1034 is issued as a request for quote (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-95. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) number is 339113 and the business size standard is 750 Employees The Chalmers P. Wylie VA ACC, Columbus, Ohio requires new equipment in support of the renovation project of 757-16-101 Expansion. The equipment will provide safe and high quality reusable medical equipment (RME) for direct patient care. The equipment will improve production efficiencies, upgrade department equipment and technologies capabilities, and reduce the use of paper by maintaining records electronically through upgraded equipment. The procurement characteristics of the requested single-chamber washer/disinfector are listed below: Shall be at least a 20 gallon bay or equivalent that allows intricate cleaning of general and delicate surgical instrumentation. Shall have the ability to automatically inject appropriate chemistry into bay. Shall provide automation program system for cycles, filling, and draining bay. Shall provide cleaning power of 132 kHz or equivalent to ensure quality cleaning. Shall provide sonic port flushing for cleaning internal lumens. Shall provide reverse port flushing ability to clean lumen devices without connection ports. Shall include automated lid and tray elevator for loading and unloading. Equipment shall be compliant with National Program Office for Sterile Processing (NPOSP) directive for standardizing equipment. SINGLE-CHAMBER WASHER/DISINFECTOR The Chalmers P. Wylie VA ACC requires that single-chamber washer/disinfector have the following or equal equipment and accessories to be installed within Sterile Processing Service (SPS). The procurement characteristics of the requested single-chamber washer/disinfector are listed below: Shall have the ability to efficiently clean, intermediate level disinfect soiled reusable medical equipment (utensils, trays, glassware, rubber, plastic goods, hard-surfaced rigid surgical containers, etc.). Shall have provide programmed cycles consisting of pre-wash, enzyme, wash, rinse, thermal rinse, and drying. Shall be 460/480V, 60 Hz. Shall have automatic double doors with tempered glass to allow operator to view loads in chamber. Shall provide printed process time, date, and washer malfunction data. Shall have pumps that allow correct levels of chemical(s) to be dispensed and indicate when detergent levels are low and insufficient. Shall be Efficient energy and water efficient. Shall provide PC touch screen control display that will permit operator(s) with or without visual challenges to monitor current status operating equipment. Racks shall fit within chamber and provide levels to place surgical instrumentation, trays, and equipment. Software program shall comply with VA (Windows 7 or equivalent). The procurement characteristics of the requested steam sterilizers are listed below. Shall have the ability to efficiently clean, low-level disinfect, effectively dry case carts, containers, and other miscellaneous reusable medical equipment. Shall be 480V, 60 Hz Shall provide integral self-priming automatic chemical dispenser that will indicate when detergent levels are low and insufficient. Shall have automated floor tilting system that will properly drain flat surfaces of carts. Shall provide PC touch screen control display that will permit operator(s) with or without visual challenges to monitor current status operating equipment. Shall have double powered doors to allow instruments to be loaded in the contaminated receiving areas and removed from the sterile staging area. Shall be energy and water efficient. Shall include cart washer container racks. Equipment shall be compliant with National Program Office for Sterile Processing (NPOSP) directive for standardizing equipment. PREVACUUM STEAM STERILIZER The Chalmers P. Wylie VA ACC requires that steam sterilizers have the following or equal equipment and accessories to be installed within Sterile Processing Service (SPS). The procurement characteristics of the requested steam sterilizers are listed below. Steam sterilizers shall provide both pre-vacuum and gravity-displacement programmable cycles. Steam sterilizers shall provide steam powered high capacity chamber validated to sterilize up to 400lbs of instruments. Steam sterilizers shall provide a Solid 316L stainless steel pressure vessel with fabricated jacket designed to provide even heating and minimize the formation of condensation on the chamber interior. Shall provide PC touch screen control display that will permit operator(s) with or without visual challenges to monitor current status operating equipment. Steam sterilizers shall connect to existing Censitrac instrument tracking. Shall be fitted for external supplied steam supplied by the facility. Shall include test cycles to include Leak Test, Dart Warm-up, and Dart cycles. Racks within sterilizer shall be able to be moved and removed in order to fit taller and shorter trays. Sterilizer shall be fitted with a printer and must provide a hard copy print out of sterilization parameters. Steam sterilizers shall provide transfer carriage, car and dock for loading and unloading equipment and instruments (shall fit size of sterilizer). Steam sterilizers shall provide loading divider that will fit on carriage. Shall be a double door sterilizer to allow instruments to load in the contaminated receiving areas and removed from the sterile staging area. Shall have Left or Right hinged doors base on space design. Software program shall comply with VA (Windows 7 or equivalent). Equipment shall be compliant with National Program Office for Sterile Processing (NPOSP) directive for standardizing equipment. TABLETOP ULTRASONIC CLEANER The Chalmers P. Wylie VA ACC requires that tabletop ultrasonic cleaner have the following or equal equipment and accessories to be installed within Sterile Processing Service (SPS). The procurement characteristics of the requested tabletop ultrasonic cleaner are listed below: Shall provide cleaning power of 132 kHz or equivalent to ensure quality cleaning. Shall be 115V or equivalent. Shall be at least 5 ¾ gallon or equivalent. Shall be Stainless steel constructed. Shall provide digital controls of the wash cycles, process time, temperature of bay, and degas cycle. Shall include lube pans and baskets for processing and lubing instrumentation. 6ft drain hose to remove fluids from the equipment to the sink. Equipment shall be compliant with National Program Office for Sterile Processing (NPOSP) directive for standardizing equipment. Delivery Route: All equipment (in whole or in parts) must be able to pass through a door opening of 4ft x 7ft.
