Description
This pre-solicitation notice is to inform that the VA Medical Center, Bath, New York will be posting a solicitation on or about the September 5th, 2017 to install ceiling mounted patient safety lift tracks in building 78, end floor at the Bath VA Medical Center. Project No. 528A6-17-630. The contractor will be required to install ceiling-mounted patient safety lift tracks in building 78, for CLC 2. The tracks will be in the patient room and the associated bathroom for that patient room. There will be 35 patient rooms and 1 tub/bathroom for a total of 36 locations. These lift track will be a central rail that will have a turntable selector to move the lift into bathroom spaces as shown on drawings. The rail system will have radius curves to allow the lifts to cover the shower and allow proper positioning of patients for toilet use. The contractor will be required to install these lifts by attaching them to the existing floor/roof deck above the finished ceilings. The contractor will provide all electrical connections from an electrical box located in the center of ceiling of each patient room, to the unit to ensure the system charges and is fully functional. The power for the unit will come from the existing circuits in the junction box. Existing circuits in the space may be used with prior consent of the COR. The contractor must install these lift track according to the manufacturer s specifications/instructions to ensure a fully operational and structurally sound system. This procurement is 100% set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses. The NAICS code is 236220. The small business standard is $36.5 M. The cost range is $500,000 to $1,000,000. Information regarding the one and only site visit scheduled will be stated in the Solicitation. A 20% Bid Bond must be submitted with the bid. Performance and Payment bonds will be required.
