Description

INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 6, intends to enter into a sole source procurement for the Durham VA Medical Center, with Biomeriuex, Inc. (DUNS 086785110) for Immunoassay Equipment Reagent Rental agreement. A Sources Sought Notice (VA246-17-N-0245) was posted on FedBizOpps for two weeks prior to this action. The requirement an Immunoassay system through a cost-per-test or reagent rental. Immunoassays are chemical tests used to detect or quantify a specific substance in blood or body fluid sample using an immunological reaction. The tests are highly sensitive and specific and are based on the principle that specific antigens will stimulate very specific (unique) immune responses. Their high specificity results from the use of antibodies and purified antigens as reagents. The instrument that Durham is seeking must be capable of testing for: Procalcitonin (PCT); CMVG; CMVM; HPY; Procalcitonin (PCT); VZG; TXGII KIT ASSEMBLY; and TXM. The FSC code for this procurement is 6640 and the NAICS code is 334516. This Notice of Intent is not a request for quotations. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Persons may identify their interest in this requirement no later than 10:00 AM EST, August 28, 2017 to: dori.dabbs2@va.gov. All information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The anticipated award date is 10/1/2017. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Telephone or faxed inquiries will not be accepted.
