Description
Sources Sought Word doc This is a sources sought announcement only. All responses will be used for market analysis in determining the availability of potential small businesses that may be used to determine appropriate acquisition strategy. No solicitation is being issued at this time. The 413 th Contracting Support Brigade at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii is seeking commercial sources to provide two rapid deployment capable expandable container/shelters for U.S. Army Pacific (USARPAC). Anticipated requirements should meet the BERG Energy Efficient Shelter Systems (E2S2), 10FT BICON brand name or equal with the following salient characteristics: •1. Container size should not exceed 9'L x 8'W x 8'H •2. 4 x stationary jacks to level the container on the ground and 4 x stainless steel floor d-ring tie downs •3. Manually expandable walls to provide additional space while deployed in order for personnel to work inside container •4. A 120/208, 3 phase, 60A electrical panel and a grounding rod •5. Internal florescent lighting, carbon monoxide and smoke detectors •6. An HVAC system that is capable of maintaining a comfortable internal temperature, for personnel. •7. 3 x surface mounted tray with 4 x electrical outlets; 1 x ground fault circuit interrupter and 3 x duplex outlets •8. 1 wall mounted Ethernet tray with 2 x category 6 Ethernet jacks per tray and 1 x 3" data pass thru •9. 1 x power support cable pigtail (4', 60A) and 1 x power support cable (50', 60A) •10. 2 each 12" x 6" reinforced windows with blackout curtains It is anticipated that the required delivery dates would be no later than 30-60 days from placement of the order. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code proposed for the requirement is 332311, prefabricated metal building and component manufacturing. The size standard for NAICS 332311 is 750 Employees. The government requests interested parties submit a response which includes a brief description of their company's business size (i.e. annual revenues and employee size, business status) and a description of same/similar supplies offered to the Government and to commercial industries. The Government will use this information in determining its set-aside decision. Interested firms are requested to provide the aforementioned information, along with interest and capability statements no later than 29 August 2017. This Sources Sought Notice is issued for the purpose of market research in accordance with FAR Part 10. Interested vendors should submit their capability statement in writing, limited to three pages. The capability statement shall be in sufficient detail to allow the Government to determine the organization's related qualifications to perform the work. The statement shall include: •1. A statement of interest in the supplies contained herein. •2. A synopsis of the contractor's capabilities and related experience, limited to three pages. Additional information regarding this requirement will be posted for viewing on FedBizOpps at https://www.fbo.gov/ as it becomes available. Interested parties are cautioned that the draft PWS posted with this notice is subject to change; the formal version of the PWS will be released with the solicitation on a future date. All potential offerors are reminded that in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 52.204-7, SAM, lack of registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) will make an offeror ineligible for contract award. NOTE: It is the responsibility of all potential offerors to monitor the FedBizOpps website for release of any future synopses or release of the solicitation. Any information provided by industry to the Government as a result of this sources sought synopsis is strictly voluntary. Responses will not be returned. No entitlements to payment of direct or indirect costs or charges to the Government will arise as a result of contractor submission of responses, or the Government's use of such information.
