- NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE This is a notification that Naval Special Warfare (NSW) intends to award a sole-source, firm-fixed price contract to Bouldin & Lawson, LLC, under the statutory authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). NSW requires the purchase of a Mobile Ordinance Deformer. The deformer provides an automated capability of processing 8,000 to 11,000 lbs. of expended brass per hour for transfer to recycling facility. Bouldin & Lawson, LLC is the sole manufacturer of the required Mobile Ordinance Deformer. The required equipment will be acquired in accordance with the FAR Part 12 - Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Subpart 13 - Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 333922. The size standard is 500 EMP. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS. The contractor identified is the only known source for the subject requirement. Responses to this notification will be used to determine if bonafide competition exists. Any such responses must be in writing and include technical capability information, which shall demonstrate the contractor's ability to complete effort within the required time. The Government will not pay for information submitted. All responses from responsible sources will be fully considered. A determination by the Government not to compete this procurement action, based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. All responses must be submitted to NSWKO2@socom.mil and received no later than 25 August 2017 @ 5:00 PM Pacific Standard Time (PST). Verification of receipt of electronic transmission is the sole responsibility of the contractor. If no valid responses are received, an award shall be made to Bouldin & Lawson, LLC.
