Description
The United States Postal Service (USPS) is seeking potential sources to provide to provide creative design and concepts, matting, and framing of USPS-related artwork. Introduction This a sources sought notice to find suppliers interested in participating in a forthcoming Request for Proposals currently scheduled for later in 2017 or early 2018. The information below provides a very brief description of the requirement. A more detailed draft Statements of Work (SOW) will be part of the RFP issued to suppliers. The USPS may schedule supplier workshops to gather current industry information related to topics listed in the request for Information (RFI) section below. Strategy Key objectives of this solicitation are to reduce costs and increase efficiencies while enhancing the timely production of USPS creative framed artwork. Background The existing contract for creative design and framed artwork is currently set to expire in July 2018. A successful awardee from the anticipated RFP will be required to begin providing all necessary services no later than August 1, 2018. The United States Postal Service (USPS) is planning to sell art on www.usps.com/shop and potentially on an eBay postal storefront on an ongoing basis. Accordingly, the USPS requires a supplier to provide creative design and concepts, matting, and framing of USPS-related artwork, such as: • Matted/framed giclee prints on canvas or paper • Matted/unframed giclee prints on canvas or paper • Matted/framed prints that also include an actual postage stamp • Matted/unframed prints that also include an actual postage stamp • Postal Stamp Framing • Posters The art produced by the selected supplier(s) will be based on USPS wholly owned stamp images, historic photographs and murals, and will be sold on www.usps.com/shop and a new postal eBay storefront. In the event that any items are not based on USPS's wholly owned images/assets, the supplier will be responsible for obtaining any and all clearances and approvals. Specific designs will be exclusive to specific channels at the discretion of the Postal Service and will be decided after contract award during the term of the contract. However, the USPS anticipates that the selected Supplier will also perform creative design services as needed throughout the contract term. The final selection of designs, sizes and formats (i.e., matted/unframed, matted/framed, etc.) will be determined after contract award. The USPS does not anticipate purchasing any inventory. When customers purchase products, the orders will be sent to the supplier(s) for processing and fulfillment. Products must ship to customers, via USPS Priority Mail®, within three (3) business days. Additionally, the USPS may require a supplier to create and produce various employee appreciation awards and plaques, such as formal annual awards, service awards, retirement awards, shadowboxes, and/or other miscellaneous appreciation award or plaques. General Pre-Qualification and Solicitation Information The supplier must have the overall financial capacity to fully support and fulfill all anticipated requirements, including the full range of product types and volume demands. Interested parties must submit a Letter of Interest demonstrating the capacities and requirements above to the point of contact at the address below.
