- Statement of Work: Service requested for the following: Elevator Semi-Annual Inspection and Testing Inspections: Inspections are performed to determine whether the existing equipment conforms to the code, ASME A17.1. Specific items and equipment to be inspected will be found in Section 8.11 of the code. Testing: The Code, ASME A17.1, requires periodic testing of elevators witnessed by a Qualified Elevator Inspector (as defined by ASME QEI-1). Yearly Category 1 testing will need to be performed for the electric, (traction), and hydraulic elevators. There will also be one Category 5 test (2018) on our 2 traction elevators. During the full load testing period on hydraulic elevators, all (18) Over Speed Rupture Valves shall be tested and adjusted as needed. Please note the inspection contractor shall be responsible to hire any sub-contractor that maybe needed to complete these tests. Scheduling: A semi-annual inspection and any testing required will be done in the months of June and December. 1st semi-annual inspection shall be performed as scheduled in Dec 2017. 2nd semi-annual inspection in June of 2018. And so on for length of awarded contract. Safety tests, Category 1 and or 5 shall be done in one of those months. Contracted Payments: This is a one year service period, with 4 option years to be paid out as work is completed semi-annually. This service shall include all labor, travel, materials and equipment needed. Reports: Contractor shall supply a full report, in triplicate, to Facilities Management. The report shall include such things as, suggested adjustments, repairs or replacements needed; as well as a comprehensive check list that follows the ASME 17.2 code.
