- Description
- Sources Sought 4633854 - Microplate Pipetting Platform and Handheld Electronic Pipettes Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE 1.Solicitation Number: HHS-NIH-NIDA-SSSA-SS-17-750 2.Title: Microplate Pipetting Platform and Handheld Electronic Pipettes 3.NAICS Code: 334516 - Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing 4.Size Standard: 1,000 Employees 5.Description: This is a Sources Sought notice. This is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. The purpose of this notice is to obtain information regarding the availability and capability of all qualified sources to perform a potential requirement. This notice is issued to help determine the availability of qualified companies technically capable of meeting the Government requirement and to determine the method of acquisition. It is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract. Responses will not be considered as proposals or quotes. No award will be made as a result of this notice. The Government will NOT be responsible for any costs incurred by the respondents to this notice. This notice is strictly for research and information purposes only. Background: Tox21 collaboration between NCATS (then NCGC), NTP, EPA and FDA started off with an aim to screen tens and thousands of known drugs and compounds in vitro by reducing the cost and time consuming processes involved in traditional toxiciticy testing methods. Since its inception nearly a decade ago, several screenings against Tox21 compound collection were performed at NCATS by running cell based assays that are focusing mainly on different targets and toxicity pathways which include nuclear receptor signaling, stress response, developmental toxicology, GPCR/cAMP signaling, and Epigentics etc. All these assays require extensive primary optimization experiments to be carried out in order to get miniaturized into high throughput screenings. These primary experiments will be carried out mainly in 96 or 384-well plate. 96/384 system, and 384-well pipetting platforms enables transfers of 96 and 384 samples in a single step, thus increasing pipetting throughput and significant reproducibility. 1.Purpose and Objectives: The purpose of this acquisition is to procure a 96/384 system with 384-well pipetting Platform, handheld electronic pipettes, and pipette tips. Delivery Schedule: Within four (4) weeks after receipt of order (ARO). Project Requirements: 96/384 system: •Enables transfers of 96 and 384 samples in a single step •Easy to use as a traditional handheld pipette •Very compact design •Allows working with both 96 and 384 channel heads for an even higher productivity •Can be use for compound addition, medium exchange, cell seeding, and addition of buffers and reagents •Can be used within plates for serial dilutions and mixing and resuspensions 384-well pipetting platform: •Together with electronic pipettes form the perfect symbiosis to significantly increase the reproducibility of prolonged pipetting protocols such as serial dilutions, plate fillings and reagent additions Electronic pipettes: •Together with tips form a perfect pipetting system. •Snaps into place with minimal tip loading effort by providing a secure connection •Tips perfectly aligned, resulting in superior accuracy and precision 2.Quantity: a)One 96/384 system b)One 96 channel pipetting head c)One 384 channel pipetting head d)Four each of bluetooth module system e)One 384-well pipetting platform f)One 96-well plate holder g)Two each of standard plate holders h)Four each of single channel electronic pipettes i)Four each of 8-channel electronic pipettes j)Three each of 16-channel electronic pipettes k)Three each of 4-sleeves reservoirs l)Three each of reservoir bases m)One each of 5-racks 96 sterile filter tip n)One each of 5-racks of 384 sterile filter tips o)Sixteen each 5-racks of nonsterile tips p)Sixteen each 5-racks of sterile tips q)Three each of carousel charging stands Total 64 items. Capability statement /information sought. Please provide a capability statement, this includes: •Provide evidence the respondent has performed services. •Provide evidence of similar previous contracts of research of the same magnitude. •Information regarding (a) staff expertise, including their availability, experience, and formal and other training; (b) current in-house capability and capacity to perform the work; (c) prior completed project of similar nature; (d) corporate experience and management capability; and (e) examples of prior completed Government contracts, references, and other related information. Please provide your DUNS number, organization name, address point of contact, and size and type of business (e.g., 8(a), HubZone, etc.,) pursuant to the applicable NAICS code and any other information that may be helpful. One (1) copy of the response is required and must be in Microsoft Word or Adobe PDF format using 11-point or 12-point font, 8-1/2" x 11" paper size, with 1" top, bottom, left and right margins, and with single or double spacing. The information submitted must be must be in and outline format that addresses each of the elements of the project requirement and in the capability statement /information sought paragraphs stated herein.
