- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ (NAWCADLKE) has been tasked with the procurement of material, labor and services required to blast, prime and paint wuantity two (2) Aircraft Crash and Slavage Crane frames (P/N: 1764AS192-2 and booms (P/N 1764AS120-2) with white polyurethane paint. The contractor shall be capable of supporting the volume of work delineated herein without impeding Fleet Readiness Center Aviation Support Equipment (FRCASE) Portsmouth, VA's mission and shall be directly responsible for ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of all tasks. The contractor shall furnish all necessary skilled and experienced personnel, material, services, equipment, and otherwise do all things necessary for and incident to the performance of all work that meets or exceeds requirement set forth in NA 17-1-125 Support equipment Cleaning, Preservation and Corrosion Control manual. Vendor will provide the serivce of transporting Aircraft Crash and Salvage Crane frame to their facility; perform corrosion treatment, prime and paint; delivery frame back to Hangar V-88, NOB Norfolk, VA, 23511. Contractor will pick up quantity two (2) Aircraft Crash and Salvage Crane frames and booms from FRCASE Portsmouth site Norfolk, located in Hanagar V-88 on Naval Oprations Base Norfolk for transport to Contractor facility. Contractor will acquire a load permit from VDOC. Contractor will mask off pivot areas, sandblast, inspect unit for cracks and defects. FRCASE Portsmouth needs to be called to provide and apply a rust preventative coating. After the primer cures the boom and frame's top coat of white polyurethane paint can be applied. Upon passing final inspection, the boom and frame will need to be transported back to the Naval Operations Base in Norfolk, VA. This effort will be a Firm Fixed Price competition conducted as a small business set aside. The Government will consider all responses received within fifteen (15) days after the date of publication of the synopsis. Responses must be received within fifteen (15) days of publication of this notice. No solicitation will be made available for this procurement.
