DUE: 08/30/2017 SET ASIDE: N/A NAICS: 334510 POP STATE: Not specified AGENCY: Department of Veterans Affairs New York Harbor Healthcare System Brooklyn Campus; 800 Poly Place Brooklyn NY, 11209 POC: Kendall Jones Kendall.jones@va.gov mailto:kendal.jones@va.gov DESCRIPTION: NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT TO, SDVOSB, Vendor for a Surgical Processing Equipment Project. Market research was conducted and determined that sole sourcing this requirement is in the best interest of the Government. As Per VAAR 819.7007 Sole source awards to service-disabled veteran-owned small business concerns. (a) A contracting officer may award contracts to SDVOSB concerns on a sole source basis provided: (1) The anticipated award price of the contract (including options) will not exceed $5 million; (2) The requirement is synopsized in accordance with FAR part 5; (3) The SDVOSB concern has been determined to be a responsible contractor with respect to performance; and (4) Award can be made at a fair and reasonable price. (b) The contracting officer s determination whether to make a sole source award is a business decision wholly within the discretion of the contracting officer. A determination that only one SDVOSB concern is available to meet the requirement is not required. (c) When conducting a SDVOSB sole source acquisition, the contracting officer shall ensure businesses are registered and verified as eligible in the VIP database prior to making an award. This Notice of Intent is not a request for Proposals or Quotations. No solicitation document exists and no telephone or email inquiries will be accepted. No contract award will be made on the basis of proposals, or quotations received in response to this notice. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement, and should furnish detailed data concerning their capabilities to provide supplies or services sought including pricing data and technical data sufficient enough to determine that a comparable source to the government is available. The government may consider all Expressions of Interest received prior to August 30, 2017. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Responses to this notice must be emailed to kendall.jones@va.gov and received by 1:00PM EST on August 30, 2017. Submitters are responsible for ensuring their EOI reaches the designated contracting officer on-time.
