- This Request for Quote (RFQ), N62271-17-Q-1253, for the Naval Postgraduate School is prepared in accordance with FAR 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, and supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The NAICS associated with this purchase is 334290, as a total small business set aside. NPS has a Sole Source Requirement for the below items referenced in the below Schedule of Supplies. The Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) intends to award a Fixed Firm Price purchase order. Sole Source Requirement: The proposed contract action is for commercial supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under FAR Part 6.303-2. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all bids, proposals, or quotations received by the closing response date will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Method of payment will be via Wide Area Workflow (WAWF). Statement of Requirements Transducers for BioSonics DT-X Extreme Digital echosounder Naval Postgraduate School Oceanography Department The Naval Postgraduate Schools Oceanography Department requires these products in order to upgrade our DTX Extreme echosounder with additional transducers.
