- THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE (RFQ) AND NO SOLICITATION IS AVAILABLE. The Department of Energy (DOE) intends to issue a Firm Fixed Price award to a single source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(i)(ii), Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements, Springer Nature, 233 Spring Street, New York, NY, 10013-1522, as the only responsible source that can provide electronic access to Springer Digital Library. Springer Nature, is the sole publisher and provider of the electronic access to Nature and American Scientific Digital Library providing multisite access to the required journals. The incumbent contractor shall provide subscription renewal services to the DOE?s Office of Scientific and Technical Information (OSTI). The proposed contract is 1/1/18 through 12/31/18. DOE intends to award this requirement as a sole source to the Springer Nature. Springer Nature, is the sole publisher for the journals that are required by OSTI. The required list of journals are as follows: Nature Nature 1869-1949 archive Nature 1950-1986 archive Nature 1987-1996 archive Nature 1997-2006 archive Nature Digest (only available in Japan) Scientific American * Scientific American 1845-1909 Archive Scientific American 1910-1947 Archive Scientific American 1948-1996 Archive Scientific American 1997-2005 Archive Scientific American Supplements & Builders Archive Collection Nature Biotechnology * Nature Cell Biology * Nature Chemical Biology * Nature Chemistry * Nature Climate Change * Nature Genetics * Nature Geoscience * Nature Immunology Nature Materials * Nature Medicine * Nature Nanotechnology * Nature Photonics * Nature Physics * Nature Protocols * Nature Structural & Molecular Biology * Nature Reviews Cancer * Nature Reviews Genetics * Nature Reviews Immunology * Nature Reviews Microbiology * Nature Reviews Molecular Cell Biology * The ISME Journal * * indicates renewal of existing site license or access fee This requirement is for subscription renewal of existing approved/required journals and online access to the journals published by Springer Nature. Based on market research, only Springer Nature subscriptions allows access to the Archives from 1869 forward for Nature and from 1845 forward for Scientific American journals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation document will exist for this requirement. This notice closes on 9/12/17 at 5:00 p.m. EST.
