Description
The National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) intends to award a purchase order to Bio-Rad, 2000 Alfred Nobel Drive, Hercules, CA 94547 for Qx200 Digital PCR Reader. The essential characteristics of the QX200 digital PCR Reader is compatible with the existing Bio-Rad droplet PCR generator, software and data comparability. The PCR reader must be the QX200 PCR reader so it has the ability to analyze the 20,000 droplets generated the the Bio-Rad droplet generator. These droplets are oil based so they can only be recognized by an oil based droplet reader. In addition, the existing software, QuantaSoft version 1.7.4.0917, was developed by Bio-Rad and is only compatible with a QX200 Digital PCR Reader. In compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b) Soliciting from a single source. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, however; all responses received, before the closing date, of this announcement will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed acquisition is based upon responses to this notice and is solely within the discretion of the Government. It is anticipated that the RFQ NIH-NICHD-17-291 will be available five (5) days after the publication date of this synopsis. Receipt of quotations will be due three (3) days after the release of the RFQ. All interested parties to this solicitation may request a copy of the RFQ package in writing to the attention of Ms. Patricia Haun at Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute Child Health and Human Development (NICHD), 6710B Rockledge Drive, Room 1159C, Bethesda, MD 20892 or via email Haunp@mail.nih.gov.
