- Solicitation/Statement of Work combined This solicitation is to seeks a qualified and experienced contractor to provide labor, material, transportation, tools, equipment and supervision for the following requirements; •1. Statement of work for the Barge LOA 120'X23'X 8' The vessel will be haul blocked and refloated upon completion of work. Marine Chemist shall gas free certificate for any and all hot work. The following items will need to be completed before launch. Item #1. Water blast the haul from the keel to the main deck to ensure removal of all growth and lose paint. Item #2. Remove and renew all zinc anodes with 6" X 12" Total of 40 anodes Item #3. Spot coat intertuf 262 base coat and finish with two coats of interspeed 6200 NA finish coat. Item #4. Install davit and rescue boat as directed by owner on starboard side of barge Item #5 Marine Chemist and gas free certificate for any and all hot work Item #6 Inspect and gauge hull thickness •2. Statement of work for the tug Elizabeth Anne LOA 66'X23'6"X 9' The vessel will be haul blocked and refloated upon completion of work. Shore power shall be connected to vessel while out of the water. Marine Chemist shall gas free certificate for any and all hot work. The following items will need to be completed before launch. Item #1. Water blast the haul from the keel to the main deck to ensure removal of all growth and lose paint. Item #2. Remove and renew all zinc anodes with 6" X 12" Total of 50 anodes Item #3. Spot coat intertuf 262 base coat and finish with two coats of interspeed 6200 NA finish coat. Item #4. Remove and install new depth sounder transducer (owner supplied) Item #5 Drain, inspect, and coat 5 ballast tanks Item #6 Install in piping from sewage tank to deck to allow remote discharge of sewage Item #7 Replace shaft Packing on both shafts Item #8 Inspect and repair all deck drains Item #9 Inspect and gauge thickness of hull Item #10 Remove and repair bow fenders as directed by owner representative. Item #11 Inspect and repair all outside ladder s as directed by owner Representative •3. Statement of work for the vessel LIBERATOR LOA 108'X23'X 8' The vessel will be haul blocked and refloated upon completion of work. Shore power shall be connected to vessel while out of the water. Marine Chemist shall gas free certificate for any and all hot work. The following items will need to be completed before launch. Item #1. Water blast the haul from the keel to the main deck to ensure removal of all growth and lose paint. Item #2. Remove and renew all zinc anodes with 6" X 12" Total of 40 anodes Item #3. Spot coat intertuf 262 base coat and finish with two coats of interspeed 6200 NA finish coat. Item #4. Inspect and replace any copper sheeting that is lose or missing Item #5 Inspect steering quadrant and replace any hose as necessary Item #6 Inspect all running gear and report any abnormalities Item #7 Remove and Renew 4-4" Shaft Zincs Remove and Renew 2-2 5/8" Rudder Zincs Item #8 inspect all hatch drains and re new all gaskets top ensure water tight seal Item #9 Inspect hull for any rot or damage and report back to owner. The Contractor will be responsible for removing and disposing of removal of all growth and lose paint. The solicitation number 693717Q00043 to three (3) yard package work for a barge, the ELIZABETH ANNE and the LIBERATOR. This is being issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) clause 52.252-2; the solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular. In accordance with Agricultural Acquisition Regulation (AGAR )452.219-70 Size Standard and NAICS Code Information: The North American Industrial Classification System Code(s) and business size standard(s) describing the products and/or services to be acquired under this solicitation is listed below: NAICS Code 336611 Ship Building and Repairing Description of requirements for the items to be acquired: Firm Fixed Priced requirement for the U. S. Merchant Marine Academy, Kings Point, NY, in accordance with the attached Statement of Work. Pricing shall include all costs necessary to accomplish the services in the statement of work (including but not limited to: overhead, general and administrative, profit, insurance, transportation, labor hours, equipment and supplies). Provide an estimated period of performance to complete each project. Prior to the award of the contract: The vendor and subcontractors must be registered and active in the Systems for Award Management (SAM) www.SAM.gov. Must provide a 20% bid bond and 100% performance bond within 2 days after award. Location of Services: U. S. Merchant Marine Academy 300 Steamboat Road Kings Point, NY 11024 The Government will award up to three contract resulting from this solicitation to responsible offerors whose offer conforms to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered.
