- Description
- The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 8.405-6 (a)(1)(i)(B). The Birmingham VA Medical Center has a requirement to purchase the following services via open market through Roche Diagnostics Corporation | 9115 Hague Road | Indianapolis, IN 46256. ITEM # UNIT QTY DESCRIPTION 0001 YR 1 Service contract for Benchmark Ultra Slide Stainer located at the Birmingham VA Medical Center. Contract shall cover all parts, labor & travel to maintain the equipment IAW manufacturer specifications & shall include preventative maintenance. This requirement has no set-aside restrictions. The intended procurement will be classified under North America Industry Classification System (NAICS) 811310 with a small business size standard of $7.5mil. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes and no solicitation document exists for this requirement. However, parties interested in responding to this notice will need to submit information sufficient to determine capability of providing the same services. All capability statements received by the closing date of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Closing date for challenges is no later than 1:00 PM. ET on 5 September 2017. No phone calls will be accepted.
