Description

Justification for Other Than Full and Open Competition Synopsis This is a NOTICE OF INTENT to award a purchase order for conference chairs on a sole-source basis. The Government intends to negotiate a fixed-price commercial purchase order for the additional conference chairs to be utilized in remodeled and expanded conference spaces. A Sole Source procurement is authorized in accordance with FAR 6.302-1- only one responsible source that can provide the conference chairs that are reasonably available and no other supplies will satisfy agency requirements. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this procurement is 337214 and the PSC code is 7110. **PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTES. Interested parties who believe they can meet the requirements may submit a written capabilities statement to the items being procured. Written information must be submitted electronically to jeffrey.marriott@usss.dhs.gov. Information received as a result of this notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future. Submission of information does not guarantee that this requirement will become a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to full and open competition, based on response to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Responses must be received by Monday, September 4, 2017 at 2:00 PM ET. PHONE CALLS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
