Only one award will be made as a result of this solicitation. This will be awarded as a firm fixed price type contract. The North American Industry Classification System code is 334516 and the business size standard is 1000 employees. It has been determined that there is no opportunity to acquire green products or services under this contract. The Collaborative Protein Technology Resource (CPTR) is a core facility providing protein analysis services to the NIH and CCR communities. Peggy SueTM assays and single cell western assay on ProteinSimple instrumentations are the main services provided at CPTR. This division is in need of reagents and assay kits for Peggy SueTM assays and single cell western assay on ProteinSimple instrumentations. These reagents and assay kits are necessary for CPTR to continue it's work providing services to the NIH and CCR communities. Protein analysis is one of the most important fields in the medical research. Simple Western assays including size-based assays and charge-based assays are used in CPTR to analyze proteins in tissues and cells per protein molecular weight and protein isoelectric point. Those reagents and kits include PeggySue Size Separation Modules, Charge Seperation Master Kits, and related SimpleWesternTM consumable reagents. Standard scWest kit and scWest Calibration kit are used to perform single cell western assay in CPTR to analyze proteins at single cell level. As the proprietary manufacturer and patent holder of this instrumentations, ProteinSimple is the only company that can supply the consumable reagents and kits required to run the Peggy Sue system and single cell western system. No other company currently supplies these items. This notice is not a request for competitive quotation.
