Description

Specification of Items Sole Source Justifcation THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE-SOURCE PURCHASE ORDER AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Services (ARS), Beltsville Agricultural Research Center (BARC)-SMML intends to issue a firm-fixed price purchase order on a sole source basis in accordance with FAR Part 13.106 under simplified acquisition procedures to the following source: Carl Zeiss Microscopy, LLC located in Thornwood, NY for the following: Microscopy Camera Axiocam 512 Color with Workstation (See attachment 2- Specifications). The proposed award is being issued under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 (b)(i), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 333314; small business size standard is 500 employees. The government will consider all responsible sources received by the due date. Written responses must contain sufficient documentation to establish a bona-fide capability to fulfill the requirement. If no written responses are received, a purchase order will be issued without further notice. See sole source justification (Attachment 1)
