- Description
- 11A. Objective: To find sources that are qualified to meet the supplies/services as listed in section 11B. Note that the specific requirements in section C are subject to change prior to the release of any solicitation. 11B. The Army Research Laboratory (ARL), Survivability & Lethality Analysis Directorate (SLAD) requires quantity two (2) data acquisition systems that are capable of collecting, recording, analyzing, and processing "high-speed" and "low-speed" ballistic test data signals to include but not limited to blast pressure, acceleration, strain, stress, temperature, event timing, and standard video. The Contractor shall be able to provide calibration hardware that will allow SLAD to self-calibrate the system on-site by SLAD personnel. The supplier shall provide product support, software support, and future software upgrades for a minimum of one (1) year After Contract Award (ACA). The proposed system shall meet the following requirements (Section C): C.1 Shall possess direct-to-disk, long-duration recording and signal conditioning capability. C.1.1 Shall be modular and portable with replaceable / reconfigurable input modules. C.1.2 Shall provide full control and direct recording over Ethernet to a remote Personal Computer (PC). C.1.3 Shall supports a minimum of eight (8) mainframe interconnections across all channels of less than one (1) microsecond. C.1.4 Shall supports the interchange of input modules between portable and rack-mount chassis formats. C.1.5 The internal PC shall utilize a standard Micro Advanced Technology extended (uATX) or mini-Information Technology extended (ITX) PC mainboard, allowing for hardware upgrades. C.1.6 Shall contain a minimum of four (4) Universal Serial Bus (USB) C.1.7 Shall Possess a minimum of two (2) external one Gigabit (1Gb) Ethernet ports for connection to other equipment C.1.8 Shall Be Operable with line voltages ranging from 90 to 240 VAC (Volts) without manually switching C.1.9 Shall Be supported by Inter-range instrumentation group (IRIG)-B and Global Positioning System (GPS) precision timestamps. C.1.10 Shall include an internal macro programming language for user custom analysis and interchange with other Windows programs. C.1.11 Shall provide simultaneous recording of video signals from a USB webcam (minimum 30 frames/sec). C.1.12 Shall provide external video output(s) to supplemental display(s) at a minimum resolution of 1920x1200. C.1.13 Shall include an external clock input for use with a rotary encoder. C.1.14 Shall include a software selectable anti-alias filtering capability with user selectable cutoff frequencies and filter. C.1.15 Shall supports a minimum of 32 thermocouple inputs from a single USB input C.1.16 Shall support direct recording to an internal hard disk or Solid State Drive (SSD) up to 1 mega-samples (MS)/s on 32 channels and/or up to 500 kilosamples (kS)/s on all channels. C.1.17 Shall allow up to 256 channels of 100 kS/s each in a single rack chassis. C.1.18 All channels shall be capable of measuring root mean square (RMS), rotations per minute (RPM), frequency, and mean values as additional virtual channels. C.1.19 Shall Support triggered transient capture up to 100 MS/s per channel C.1.20 Shall be capable to provide binary sample rates up to 1.024 MS/s C.1.21 Shall be capable to provide decimal sample rates up to 100 MS/s C.1.22 Shall include an external clock multiplier that allows for a minimum of 14,400 samples per revolution using a 360 (pulses per revolution) ppr encoder Input module requirements (Section C.2.): C.2.1 Shall have a minimum of 2 MS/s, 16-bit successive approximation register digitizers. C.2.2 Shall have Internal signal conditioning on each channel under software control for full, half and quarter bridges; Integrated Circuit Piezoelectric / Integrated Electronic Piezoelectric (ICP/IEPE)-type sensors; thermocouples and single-ended and differential voltages on a per channel basis. C.2.3 Shall possess 10V/channel excitation to 350 ohm full-bridge sensors.\ C.2.4 Shall contain a minimum of 10 milliamps (mA)/channel constant-current excitation to ICP/IEPE-type sensors. C.2.5 Shall have a minimum of 1 MHz analog bandwidth in all modes. C.2.6 Shall allow up to +/-1000V DC and 600V RMS direct inputs. C.2.7 Shall contain a minimum Wheatstone bridge current of 50mA. C.2.8 Shall have built in shunt calibration of up to 100k ohms. C.2.9 Shall contain built in remote sense circuitry to compensate for line resistance. C.2.10 Shall possess auto balance to remove static load offsets on transducers. C. Responses: All interested parties should notify this office in writing, mail, fax, or e-mail within the posted date. Responses shall include: (I)To what extent each of the specifications can be met. (II) Include your type of business (i.e. commercial, academia), whether your organization is classified as a large or small business based on the NAICS employee size standard that accompanies NAICS code 334515. If a small business, you must also list any small disadvantaged status you hold [HUBZone, 8(a), Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Women Owned Small Business (WOSB), Economically Disadvantaged Women-Owned Small Business (EDWOSB), etc.]. (III)Past experience/ performance through the description of completed projects.
