- The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Enterprise Services Center is conducting a Market Survey-Request for Information for a Capacity Tool. The Capacity Tool will need to meet the minimum requirements: Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) Software Server based Integrates with Microsoft Project and Excel Ability to do What-if simulations to model project data Simple, easy to read, interactive interface Ability to forecast resource availability Ability to provide staffing forecasts to input into a budget forecasting process Customizable filters (for example having the ability to edit/create other fields to reflect a Jr. DBA and Sr. DBA) Generates reports that compares Personnel to Projects so we can assess manpower Instant allocation of changes (i.e. one person on multiple projects or the ability to move a person from one project to the next seamlessly) PIV Enabled/ Ability to Enable On-Site Software Uploads existing spreadsheets Concurrent licensed users for access of product (max 100) Capacity database load for up to 1500 personnel This request for information is to improve the Government s understanding of the current marketplace and will be used for information purposes only and will not be released. This announcement is not a Screening Information Request (SIR) or a Request for Proposal (RFP) of any kind. We are asking for a Rough Order of Magnitude price estimate for a Capacity Tool. Response to this Market Survey: The information provided in response to this market survey is for informational purposes only and will not be released. Any proprietary information submitted will be protected if appropriately marked. No evaluation of vendors will occur and vendor participation in any informational session is not a promise of future business with the FAA. All responses (one response per company) are to be provided on company letterhead and reference Market Survey 28124. Information generated in direct response to this request for information shall be prepared using a type font of no less than 12-point. Standard published commercial information may be provided in the original printed format. Responses must be received no later than 3:00 P.M., Central Summer Time on 22 Sep 17. Market survey responses received after the time and date specified may be determined late and not considered. The FAA prefers that all submittals, including attachments, be submitted electronically to the following email addresses: Angel.Taylor@faa.gov with Market Survey 28124 in subject line. Please submit in a portable document format (pdf); however, Microsoft Word is acceptable. The FAA may decide to do a full and open competition or set aside all or part of the procurement for small businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses or eligible socially and economically disadvantaged businesses that are certified by the SBA for participation in the SBA's 8(a) Program. Interested firms are required to submit a copy of their SBA 8(a) certification letter, if applicable. The market survey responses will provide information for the FAA to consider in choosing its procurement method. Respondents are encouraged to review the attached documents and provide comments.
