- Sole Source Synopsis Sole Source Justification THIS IS A SOLE SOURCE SYNOPSIS! IAW FAR 5.207(c)(16)(i) All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, the government will consider any responses from capable sources received within 10 days after date of publication of this synopsis. 45 CONS/LGCB has determined that Burchfield Automation, L.L.C. is the only source capable of providing this requirement. Phone calls will not be accepted. The 45th Contracting Squadron has a sole source requirement for provide one (1x) Burchfield directional finder positioner, U000415 CLU-777 Lite, with options: Slip Ring, Stabilization, and Day/Night camera. This is a Sole Source with Burchfield Automation, L.L.C. IAW FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). IAW FAR 5.207(c)(15) Burchfield Automation, L.L.C. is the only source capable of fulfilling the government's requirement. Market research performed reveals that no company except Burchfield Automation LLC produces an analyzer that meets the pan and tilt specifications required to integrate with existing positioners purchased in FY16. These specifications are a unique requirement to support the 45 SW launch mission. The cost to purchase an additional CLU-177 is far less expensive than replacing the existing antenna array system in its' entirety; which would be result in substantial cost and is not in the best interest of the Government. The attached Sole Source Justification has been made available for review. No solicitation documents exist at this time. This item/service utilizes North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code of 334511.
