Amendment 0001; Change to site visit date. Amendment 0001 The purpose of this amendment is to change the organized site visit from 31 August 2017 at 1:00 p.m (CDT) to Tuesday, 5 September 2017 at 1:00 p.m. (CDT). Contractors interested in seeing the site need to make a reservation with Aaron by Telephone at (605) 487-7845 ext. 3224 or by e-mail at aaron.j.gregor@usace.army.mil. All personnel attending the site visit shall meet at the site: 113 Randall Creek Road, Pickstown, SD 57367. Updated 30 August 2017/mld ********************************************************************** This solicitation is RESTRICTED TO SMALL BUSINESS PARTICIPATION. This project consists of furnishing all personnel, services, equipment, materials, facilities, and all other requirements necessary to provide Restoration of Native Prairie Grass at USACE Fort Randall Project, Pickstown, South Dakota, 57367. Services include: 1) The preparation of slope revegetation plan that has been approved and signed by the Natural Resource Manager and Wildlife Biologist of the Fort Randall Project Office, 2) Even application of growth medium onto the sloped area, 3) Incorporation of designated seed mix into applied substrate, 4) Installation of substrate socks/berms and lockdown netting to reduce erosion, limit movement of applied compost via wind, and to prevent loss of water quality adjacent to the project area. The contractor shall apply a compost blanket that can be successfully seeded with native cool season and warm season grasses. The compost blanket will be evenly distributed at a thickness of no less than 2 inches and no greater than 4 inches. Additionally, erosion control structures will be installed to prevent movement of substrate off slope and reduction in water quality adjacent to the work site. Representations and certifications are required to be updated annually as a minimum to keep information current, accurate and complete. The electronic annual representations and certifications are effective until one year from date of submission or update to SAM.
