- Statement of Work (SOW) Replacement of Fire Protection Service line and Wash System pumps Fargo VA Health Care System General Description Contractor shall furnish all supervision, tools, labor, materials, equipment, and transportation necessary for Project Number 437-17-150, Emergency Repair to Laundry Fire Protection Main, located at the Fargo VA Medical Center 2101 N. Elm, Fargo, ND 58102. This project involves the repair of a damaged water line that supplies water to the emergency water sprinklers in the laundry facility at the Fargo, ND VA Medical Center. This water line also supplies the water needed to perform laundry services for the entire Fargo VA Medical Center. Work includes general construction, plumbing, mechanical electrical, and all necessary work as described in the Statement of Work. All work, including final clean-up and completion of any punchlist items, shall be performed within sixty (60) calendar days after contract award. The repairs that are required are as follows: Excavation and replacement of the 6 fire-protection service line from the PIV (Post Indicator Valve) into the crawlspace of the facility and up through the floor in the N.E. corner of the Laundry Facility. Removal and replacement of the spool pipe connection to the Fire Protection riser. This will also include replacing the old single check valve with a proper double check valve, disconnecting and reconnecting the flow switch and flow-tamper switch. Replacement of eight (8) laundry facility pump motors located in the basement of the building. Replacement of the motors requires that they be disconnected and reconnected by an Electrician and that the motors and pumps be properly aligned and tested by a plumber. Replacement of two (2) tank water level sensors that were under the water level. This work will be completed by an electrician
