- (i) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (ii) The solicitation number AG-6395-S-17-0178 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ) in accordance with FAR Part 13. (iii) The provisions and clauses incorporated into this solicitation document are those in effect at the time of publication. Provisions and clauses incorporated by reference have the same force and effect as if they were given in full text. The full text of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) can be accessed on the Internet at http://farsite.hill.af.mil/ or at https://www.acquisition.gov/. (iv) Simplified acquisition procedures will be used for this acquisition per FAR Part 13. This requirement is being offered as a 100% Small Business set aside. The NAICS code is 333111. The small business size standard is 1,250 employees. (v) This requirement is the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal Plant Health Inspection Services (APHIS), Veterinary Services (VS) to purchase the following items in the following quantities: Item # Description QTY Amount Extended Price CLIN 001 - Portable Squeeze Chute w/Yoke Trailers 14 $ $ Total $ Vendors may submit quotations for one or both Contract Line Item Numbers (CLINs). (vi) Salient characteristics/specifications for: CLIN 001 - Portable Squeeze Chute w/Yoke Trailers 1. The Squeeze Chute shall be of a size suitable to handle larger cattle with a length of 114 inches width of 41 inches and height of 78 inches (see Attachment A for illustrative purposes). 2. The Squeeze Chute shall be constructed of schedule 80 steel pipe, 13 gauge steel tubing, 1/8 inch sheet metal with rumber flooring (for an easily cleaned, non-slip, durable surface), optional pins at rear for attachment of cattle panels for lead in alley, steel floor of 10 inch MC channel, 13 gauge hinged drop bars on both sides of the chute - NO WOOD. 3. The Squeeze Chute shall have a left hand self-catch head gate with an old style tailgate. 4. The Squeeze Chute shall have integral side kick plates / drop panels of 12 gauge steel to allow side exit, and be hot-dipped galvanized before finish coating to enhance work-life in corrosive environments. 5. The Yoke Trailer shall be configured with freeway capable tires including a spare, safety chains for securing the chute, bulldog couplers, winch for easy loading and unloading of the chute, and configured for a 2 inch ball for towing. We will provide our own light bar for travel on the road (see attachment B for illustrative purposes) (vii) Delivery shall be made to and arranged with Bill on or before September 30, 2017.
