- Description
- 1. The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) intends to award a contract on a sole source basis to Nuance Communications, Inc., One Wayside Road, Burlington, MA 01803. The contact will be for a base period of twelve months, with three (3) 12-month option periods. The SEC requires BATVOX maintenance services including remote support, bug fixing, and upgrades. BATVOX is a speaker identical tool which is capable of providing forensic-grade analyses to identify voices being used in ongoing investigations. Nuance Communications, Inc., has been the only source identified that can meet the SEC's requirement. The SEC intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR Subpart 13.106. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation which will be considered by the agency. The Government will not be responsible for any cost incurred in preparation of the statements, proposals, or quotations. Information received will be normally be considered solely for the purpose whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. No solicitation or additional information will be made available with regard to this sole source notice. NAICS code is 511210 - Software Publishers. 2.
