THIS AMENDMENT FOR THIS SOLICITATION - IS TO CORRECT - MY: JOHN WILKINSON'S PHONE NO. to 301-504-1731 - as the PURCHASING AGENT/CONTRACTING OFFICER - FOR THIS REQUIREMENT ______________________________________________________________________ This is a Fed Biz Opps Special Notice from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Agriculture Research Service, who intends to award a Sole Source Procurement to the following vendor: Advanced Analytical Laboratories, Inc. who is a small business, located at 2450 SE Oak Tree Court, Number 101, Ankery, Iowa 50021-7102. Reference Solicitation number 877397 for this Fed Biz Opps Special Notice, This requirement will be solicited on a unrestricted basis under NAICS code: 334516. Minimum requirements for the above instrument: USDA, ARS, requires the following: Desired Item: Automated capillary electrophoresis-based fragment analyzer Automated CE system, 12 CAP, Quantity of one each, to be used for qualifying and quantifying DNA and RNA samples. Additional items required: 12-Capillary Array Cartridge, 50 um (1D) 33 cm (EFF), 55 cm (TOT), 2Ml (RES), Quantity of one each; Fluorescent System installation and training; Quantity: one job; Fragment Analyzer Operational Qualification Kit, Quantity of one each; Packaging and handling, Quantity: one job; Standard Sensitivity RNA Analysis Kit (15nt), 500 samples, Quantity of one each; and Standard Sensitivity NGS Fragment Analysis Kit ( 1bp - 6000 bp ) 500 samples, Quantity of one each. Desired Use: Quantification and qualification of DNA and RNA samples and fragments using capillary electrophoresis in highly efficient, automated format for higher throughput, accuracy, and automation of DNA and RNA analyses. Specifications: Separation method: Parallel capillary electrophoresis Sample throughput: at least 12 simultaneous samples, and more than 200 total samples in a single run Resolution: 3 bp or better Sizing accuracy: 5% or better Detection sensitivity: Less than or equal to pg/µl Detector: High sensitivity CCD Samples: DNA and RNA sample fragments from 35 bp to 50,000 bp Decontamination: Automated flushing of capillaries between every injection cycle Multiplex analysis: from 96-well plates, capable of more than 200 samples, un unattended Software, control: Data analysis software package capable of sizing, quantification, smear analysis, integrity determination, and report generation. Fragment Analyzer Automated CE System, Manufactured by Advanced Analytical, Inc. Required Delivery Date: October 11, 2017. The above vendor: Advanced Analytical, Inc., only sells the above requirement items directly in the United States. This award will be made to the vendor with the lowest Price that is Technically acceptable. THIS NOTICE INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The purchase made will be made under simplified acquisition procedures, other than Full and Open Competition authorized by FAR 6.302-1, and Statutory Authority: 10 USC 2304 (C ) ( 1) as implemented by FAR6.302-1 Vendors who believe they can provide the above, are invited to submit substantiating documentation via email to John.Wilkinson@ars.usda.gov by no later than September 8, 2017 e.s.t.
