- THIS AMENDMENT IS TO CORRECT THE FOLLOWING STATEMENT FROM THIS SOLICITATION: THE FOLLOWING REQUIRED ( PLANT GROWTH CHAMBER ) is for the UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE, AGRICULTURE RESEARCH SERVICE, LOCATED IN NEWARK, DELAWARE 19713 ______________________________________________________________________ This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, quotes are being requested and a written notice will not be issued. Solicitation 865616 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporation provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-95. This solicitation will be solicited on a unrestricted basis. This award will be based on lowest price that is technically acceptable. The following required ( Plant Growth Chamber ) For The United States Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service located in Newark, Delaware 190713 Minimum requirements directly below for the Plant Growth Chamber: For research on biological control agents, USDA, ARS, Located in Newark, Delaware requires: three plant growth chambers that shall supply light at ( greater than or equal to 500 µmoles/m2/s ) via LEDs for plant growth. The chambers should have greater than or equal to 10 square feet of growing space, and ~20 inches separation from shelf to light source. The chambers should be programmable to hold temperatures at 10°C to 40°C (greater than or equal to 0.5° C) with lights on and -10° to 40° (greater than or equal to 0.5º C) with lights off, and they should have the capacity to dehumidify. The chamber compressor should be water-glycol cooled (our supply is 50°F glycol-water at ~1 gallons per minute). The chambers cannot be taller than 7 ft. Percival Scientific, Inc. control and monitoring systems, the light levels and spectrum, the temperature ranges, and dehumidification are all critical to compatibility with existing Percival Scientific, Inc. plant growth chambers. This compatibility is required for multi-chamber experiments. All vendor's price quotes must include shipping charges to the above address. NAICS Code: 334516 and Product Service Code: 6640.
