Description
NATIONAL TRANSIT INSTITUTE REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL #R17-3194 PERFORMANCE BASED PLANNING AND PROGRAMMING (TPE24) Date for receipt of proposals : WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 11, 2017 by 2:00 PM (EST) The National Transit Institute (NTI) is seeking proposals from qualified professionals to facilitate its new Performance Based Planning and Programming two (2) day training course. In addition, NTI may periodically request proposers to edit/update the existing course materials. NTI’s Performance Based Planning and Programming course is intended to help those entities responsible for the programming and delivery of public transportation projects to understand how to develop a Performance Based Planning and Programming framework and apply it. The course plans to achieve the following outcomes for course participants: Describe the requirements and elements of a Performance Based Planning and Programming (PBPP) framework. Explain how Performance Based Planning and Programming supports the transportation planning and transportation system performance. Describe opportunities to engage the public in a Performance Based Planning and Programming process. Explain how to integrate various performance based plans using data and information contained within those plans Recognize the role of coordination in developing performance based plans.
