Description
The National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA) intends to award a purchase order to SCIENTIFIC RESPIRATORY EQUIPMENT (SCIREQ), 6600 St. Urbaiin Street, STE 300, Montreal, Quebec H2S 3G8, Canada for the flexiVent Complete System Solution. The FlexiVent FX Complete System is the only knows system to assess pulmonary function in small rodents inclusive of NIAAA's required specifications. This will be used for assessing Pulmonary function in Pulmonary fibrosis studies. This system has the capability of measuring many pulmonary function test parameters including negative pressure expirations, which makes this system compatible with human lung function tests measurements. Scireq has this advanced system which will help to assess drug efficacy on Pulmonary functions in preclinical studies. In compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b) Soliciting from a single source. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, however; all responses received, before the closing date, of this announcement will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed acquisition is based upon responses to this notice and is solely within the discretion of the Government. It is anticipated that the RFQ NIH-NICHD-17-307 will be available six (6) days after the publication date of this synopsis. Receipt of quotations will be due three (3) days after the release of the RFQ. All interested parties to this solicitation may request a copy of the RFQ package in writing to the attention of Ms. Patricia Haun at Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute Child Health and Human Development (NICHD), 6710B Rockledge Drive, Room 1159C, Bethesda, MD 20892 or via email Haunp@mail.nih.gov.
