Description
This requirement is for a firmed fixed priced contract to provide all necessary material, labor, and equipment to perform an install of electrical circuit breakers, a panel, and a relocation of a 500 amp circuit between panels. The Contractor shall provide all necessary material, equipment and labor required to perform the following: Building 9: Replace breaker 9HDP2 in main switchboard, P-MDP. The existing breaker is a Westinghouse SPB-50 rear connected breaker. The new breaker will be provided by the government. It is a SPB-100, 3 pole, 400A breaker. An electrical outage for building 9 will be required outside of normal business hours. Dispose of the old circuit breaker. Building 22: Replace the breaker on the emergency generator. The existing breaker is a Westinghouse, 3 pole, 300A circuit breaker. The new breaker will be provided by the government. It is a Cutler-Hammer DK3300Y, 3 pole, 300A circuit breaker. The new breaker will be installed in the existing electrical enclosure. This should be a direct replacement but minor modifications may be necessary. An outage for the emergency generator will need to be scheduled but this work can occur during normal business hours. Dispose of the old circuit breaker. Building 100: Replace enclosed circuit breaker ECB-1R13-15A. This serves the canteen area of the main hospital. The existing breaker is a Federal Pacific, 3 pole, 1200A breaker located in a standalone enclosure. The new breaker will be provided by the government. It is a Square D PGL36120 breaker with a new enclosure. The dimensions of the new enclosure are 52 1/8 high, 21 wide, 9 ¾ deep. The dimensions of the existing enclosure are 48 high, 23 ½ wide, 11 deep. Reconnect 3-4 conduits to the left side of the enclosure and a junction box to the top of the enclosure. Reconnect three sets of #500 kcmil to the line side and four sets of #500 kcmil to the load side of the breaker. Contractor will provide all cable and splices necessary to extend the load side cable if necessary. The line side cable shall be replaced in its entirety if necessary. The transformer feeding the line side of the breaker is located directly next to the circuit breaker enclosure. An electrical outage for the canteen area will be required outside of normal operating hours. The operating hours are approximately 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Dispose of the old circuit breaker and enclosure. Replace panel BDP1. This panel serves mechanical load and medical equipment in the main hospital. This is a 600A, 480/277V, 3 phase panel. (Reference attached BDP1 drawing.) It contains a 30A, 40A, 100A, and 400A, all three pole breakers. All four of these breakers have loads connected to them. The new Square D panel and enclosure will be provided by the government. New breakers were ordered with the new panel to match the existing sizes and configuration of the existing breakers. Rearrange breakers if necessary within the panel to minimize or eliminate the need to splice any existing cable. Contractor will provide all cable and splices to extend the cable if necessary. The dimensions of the new enclosure are 59 high, 42 wide, 9 ½ deep. The dimensions of the existing enclosure are 53 high, 41 ¼ wide, 9 ½ deep. An electrical outage for this panel will be required outside of normal operating hours. Dispose of the old panel and enclosure. Turn over the old circuit breakers to the government. Relocate circuit EBDP7A from panel EBDP4L to panel EBDP3. The existing breaker will remain in panel EBDP4L. A new 500A breaker will be provided by the government for the new location in panel EBDP3. The new breaker is a Square D, MJA36500 circuit breaker. Rearrange existing breakers within panel EBDP3 to accommodate the new 500A breaker. Minimize or eliminate the need to splice any existing cable. Contractor will provide all cable and splices to extend the cable if necessary. Panel EBDP3 is located approximately 8 to the right of panel EBDP4L. 2-2 ½ conduits need to be rerouted to EBDP3. Provide 2 new sets of #250 kcmil cable from panel EBDP3 to transformer EBDP7A. The approximate length of this circuit is 120 all located within the same electrical room. An electrical outage for this relocation will be required outside of normal operating hours.
