Contract Title. (Provide a short, descriptive title of the work to be performed) 3. Background. D2 software offers basic and advanced programmable options to ensure a just-right challenge. New skills are developed through tasks of graded complexity. Plug-and-play systems are not client-centered, and may not adapt for individual skill level. Pixelated LCD television screens flash at 30Hz creating a strobe-like effect invisible to the eye. Research shows screen time delays recovery from brain injury, and is a known trigger for post-concussive headaches. The D2 light board has a matte surface that is safe and appropriate for clients who are sensitive to light and glare post brain injury. Higher level visual-cognitive and motor skills develop through perceptual learning. The D2 provides automatic multi-sensory feedback. Raised buttons offer tactile input, while an audible beep indicates a successful hit. Utilizing the remaining senses to adapt for visual impairment accelerates learning of compensatory visual scanning strategies. Because this is a single equipment purchase with a 1x training of personnel nothing else follows regarding a statement of work.
