Description
NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE: The Department of Veteran Affairs, Network Contracting Office 16, intends to enter into a sole source Firm-Fixed Price purchase order for Olympus Brand Endoscopes and Supporting Equipment for the Veterans Health Care System of the Ozarks located in Fayetteville, AR with Alliant Healthcare Products in accordance with 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1)(B) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1 Only One Responsible Source IAW 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(5) FAR 6.302-5 Authorized or Required by Statute VAAR 819.7007 Sole Source Awards to Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business Concerns. This is not a request for competitive offers and no solicitation is available. Market research has determined that required equipment is only available from a single source without an unacceptable delay or duplication of cost and no other equipment will satisfy agency requirements. The Government intends to award a purchase order with an effective date of 13 September 2017 to Alliant Healthcare Products, 333 Bridge Street NW, Suite 1125, Grand Rapids, MI, 49504-5367; Cage Code 3Y2R6. This acquisition is for Olympus Brand Endoscopes, Cameras, Printers, Sinus Scopes supporting hardware and accessories for the Veterans Health Care System of the Ozarks, which will be added to the existing inventory of Olympus Brand Scopes and seamlessly integrate into the existing and future infrastructure of the OR at the medical facilities. All cameras and endoscopes must be Sterrad NX compatible. The system must have flexible video endoscopy equipment that is compatible with the existing platform (video processors, light sources, and Olympus endoscopic equipment. This Medical Center is in need of this additional equipment to replace unserviceable inventory and provide additional back up equipment when equipment in inventory becomes unserviceable or is sent offsite for repair. This synopsis announcement is being issued for information purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation or request for competitive proposals. The NAICS code for this requirement is 334510; the business size standard is 1250 employees. If a firm believes it is capable of meeting the Government's requirement, it may identify their interest and capability to the Contracting Officer within five (5) calendar days of this publication by contacting Arlene A. Blade via e-mail at arlene.blade@va.gov. Telephone inquiries will not be accepted. Those interested firms must indicate whether they are large, small, small-disadvantaged, 8(a) or woman owned business and whether they are U.S. or foreign owned. Respondents who submit proprietary data shall clearly mark the data with appropriate markings. The Government will not pay for any information submitted as a result of this synopsis. This synopsis shall not be construed as an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any products or services.
