- JOTFOC Description: The United States Coast Guard, Surface Forces Logistics Centers, Long Range Enforcer Branch 2, Oakland, CA anticipates awarding sole source procurement to MTU America Inc. for the following service: 1. Trouble shooting the Unrequested Start and Stop on the National Security CUTTER LM2500 Main Gas Turbine (MGT) MTU America Inc. is the OEM for manufacturing/maintenance of the engines and posses the technical data and/or drawings pertaining to the ability to complete this service, specifically the propulsion consoles (MCS-5). The drawings/technical data are proprietary to MTU America Inc. This procurement will be made on behalf of the USCGC WMSL FLEET. Vendor will provide all the parts listed above. NAICS Code # 333611 applies to this procurement. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. No solicitation will be issued, however all responses received on/before 0800 Sept 13th 2017 will be reviewed by the Government. A determination not to compete this proposed contract based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. All questions concerning this notice must be submitted in writing the Contracting Officer, email address is: Kristen.J.Thomas@uscg.mil. The solicitation is restricted to: MTU America, Inc. Offers from concerns other than the above are not solicited. If no affirmative responses are received by the date specified above to determine whether a qualified source is more advantageous to the Government, a purchase order will be negotiated and awarded to MTU America, Inc.
