Ft Bragg, NC Sandstone Tower Receive Antenna Replacement Description-Brand Name or Equivalent Compatible Sinclair SC329 Omnidirectional 6db Fiberglass Antenna 380-400 Mhz 1 Byrd Receive Multicoupler 1 Byrd Receive Amplifier 1 7/8" Copper Transmission Line 1 425 feet of 7/8" foam celleflex cable. (30' from tower to shelter) Butterfly Clamps To Secure Transmission Lines 40 approx Transmission Line Connectors 4 All Other Materials Required 1 Remove and Dispose of Old Antenna and Cabling 1 The existing tower at Sandstone Ft Bragg, NC was struck by lightning earlier this year. The contractor shall: Contractor shall remove and dispose of the old equipment and install a new 7/8" transmission line and a new Sinclair SC329 Omnidirectional 6db, 380-400 MHz antenna at the height of 380' on Sandstone Tower and replace the currently inoperable receive multi-coupler and amplifier. Contractor shall provide all materials, cables and connectors as required for the accomplishment of the task. All installation work must meet or exceed specifications set forth in Motorola's latest revision of R56 - "Standards and Guidelines for Communications Sites". All applicable National and regional codes shall be adhered to. Contractor to be licensed, bonded and insured to perform the described work with applicable safety and technical certifications for this type of work. Contractor shall provide documentation of serial number and line sweep report. Contractor shall assemble and test all cables and connectors for all equipment being supplied prior to installation. Contractor shall turn up and test all installed parts for functionality, compatibility and successful communication with existing systems. Coordination with government technical point of contact and existing land mobile radio maintenance supplier as necessary. Standard manufacturer's warranty on parts and contractor's warranty of 1 year on installation. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. 2)Place of Contract Performance: Ft Bragg, NC 28310 3)This solicitation is a Request for Quote (RFQ) IAW FAR Parts 12 and 13. 4)This is a request for quotation (RFQ) using http://www.fedbizopps.gov. 5)The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-93. 6)This is an unrestricted acquisition. The applicable NAICS code is 334220 and small business size standard is1250 employees or less. The Government may undertake or award other contracts for additional work at or near the site of the work under this contract. The Contractor shall fully cooperate with the other contractors and with Government employees and shall carefully adapt scheduling and performing the work under this contract to accommodate the additional work, heeding any direction that may be provided by the Contracting Officer. The Contractor shall not commit or permit any act that will interfere with the performance of work by any other contractor or by Government employees. (End of Clause) 52.236-9 -- Protection of Existing Vegetation, Structures, Equipment, Utilities, and Improvements. (a) The Contractor shall preserve and protect all structures, equipment, and vegetation (such as trees, shrubs, and grass) on or adjacent to the work site, which are not to be removed and which do not unreasonably interfere with the work required under this contract. The Contractor shall only remove trees when specifically authorized to do so, and shall avoid damaging vegetation that will remain in place. If any limbs or branches of trees are broken during contract performance, or by the careless operation of equipment, or by workmen, the Contractor shall trim those limbs or branches with a clean cut and paint the cut with a tree-pruning compound as directed by the Contracting Officer. (b) The Contractor shall protect from damage all existing improvements and utilities (1) at or near the work site, and (2) on adjacent property of a third party, the locations of which are made known to or should be known by the Contractor. The Contractor shall repair any damage to those facilities, including those that are the property of a third party, resulting from failure to comply with the requirements of this contract or failure to exercise reasonable care in performing the work. If the Contractor fails or refuses to repair the damage promptly, the Contracting Officer may have the necessary work performed and charge the cost to the Contractor.
