- JOFOC - Memory Chip Reader Toolkits This is a combined synopsis solicitation with the intent to solicit to a single source to Netherlands Forensic Institute (NFI), Ministry of Security & Justice under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) because NFI is the only known responsible source to the hardware and software product described in this notice. Notice is provided as information to the marketplace, and is an invitation for any other qualified companies to provide the requirement. Background The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has a need to purchase NFI's Memory Toolkit II that is a combination of hardware and software. This memory toolkit will serve as the universal memory chip reader. The product will be used to attempt to recover accident data on memory chips for devices such as mobile phones, GPS, and other recovered devices. Required Capabilities The memory toolkit requires hardware and software that works universally with various memory chips. Hardware is used to make a physical connection, generate signals and supply power to the memory chip. The software executes the command sets to access data in various types of memory chips. The memory toolkit has the capability to recover data from damaged or password-protected devices, from old to new memory chips. The products also come with lifetime support. Sources capable of fully satisfying the above requirements are invited to submit a bid by the specified date.
