Description
Veterans Health Administration, Network Contracting Office 5, is issuing this request for information/sources sought notice in order to identify businesses that have the resources and capabilities to provide some electrical work for the Perry Point VA Medical Center in Perry Point, MD. Description of Work The Perry Point VA Medical Center needs to replace the main circuit breaker panels at 5 of its "village houses" with larger 100-amp main circuit breaker panels. The 5 new main circuit breaker panels need to be Square D QO 32-space panels so to allow the re-use of existing circuit breakers; new ground rods, ground wire & clamps will be needed for each of the 5 village houses. The contractor will be responsible for supplying the resources necessary (e.g., labor, new main circuit breaker panels, ground rods, ground wire & clamps). The general scope of work includes: o Remove the existing the main circuit breaker panels o Install the new main circuit breaker panels & reconnect the existing wiring o Ground & bond the new panels via ground rods and water pipes o Coordinate power off/power on with VA personnel & house residents. Interested & Capable Responses If you are interested in this procurement and consider your business to have the resources and capabilities necessary to provide these services, then please respond with your: Business name, socio-economic classification (e.g., Veteran-owned, HUBZone, 8a, woman-owned, etc.), GSA contract number (if applicable), and person of contact (including telephone number & email address); Capability statement; and Ball-park cost estimate of what the Perry Point VA Medical Center could expect to pay your business for doing the work described herein. Responses must be submitted by 11:00 AM (EST) September 12, 2017. Responses to the information requested above must be submitted via email to james.whisner@va.gov. This request for information/sources sought notice is for planning purposes ONLY. The results of this market research will assist in the development of (1) the requirement and (2) the acquisition strategy. VHA assumes no responsibility for any costs incurred associated with the preparation of responses submitted as a result of this notice.
