- ****response to this notice must be received by September 2015******* NOAA's NMFS, Alaska Fisheries Science Center, Auke Bay Laboratories, intends to negotiate, on a sole source basis, under authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) (1), with MSDSOnline Inc. NMFS requires a system for maintaining and updating and managing chemical inventory. The system needs to be accessible by all NMFS personnel and emergency personnel, it must be updated whenever a new chemical is added to our inventory, it must be upgradable to comply with newly promulgated requirements, and it must be cost effective over the short term and long term. Yearly service provider-based chemical inventory and management system accessed via internet link with specific specific requirements. Base Period: Date of Award through 09/30/2018. Option Period 01: 10/01/2018 - 09/30/2019 Option Period 02: 10/01/2019 - 09/30/2020 The required supplies or services must be compatible in all aspects (form, fit, and function) with existing systems or equipment and the source is uniquely qualified to meet the requirement. MSDSOnline is the sytem that is currently used by Fisheries headquarters. In order to transfer the information from Alaska Fisheries Science Center and the National Marine Fisheries Service we would need to physically transfer the resident inventories into the headquarters system. ward for this requirement will be in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13. Anticipated value will be under the Simplified acquisition procedures with an estimated value of less than $150,000.00. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. Interested person may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. If you feel that your firm possesses the ability to provide these requirements, then you must respond by demonstrating your firm's technical capability to meet these requirements by September 15, 2017. No known potential alternate sources exist which could satisfy these requirement
