This Sources Sought is for information and market research only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation on the part of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). The VA is currently conducting market research to locate qualified experienced and interested potential sources. Responses will NOT be considered as proposals, nor will any award be incurred by interested parties in responding to this sources sought announcement. The purpose of this sources sought synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification (Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, Veteran Owned Small Business or Small Business) relative to NAICS 221310 Water Supply and Irrigation Systems, size standard $27.5 M. Responses to this sources sought will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After review of the responses to this sources sought synopsis, a solicitation announcement may be published on FEDBIZ OPPS website. Contracting Service is seeking interested sources (contractors) for a near-future solicitation and procurement for the following: Work consists of system winterization and system startup, immediately followed by an annual inspection and minor maintenance and repair of the irrigation system located at the Fort Snelling National Cemetery, 7601 34th Avenue South, Minneapolis, MN 55450, hereafter referred to as FSNC, Cemetery, VA, or Government. The irrigation system is comprised of 371 zones and serves 335 acres of lawn and burial areas. The water source for the system is the cemetery s two wells, each with an accompanying reservoir. The irrigation system is primarily supported by a main computer located in the cemetery pump house; however, it also includes four stand-alone satellite controllers located throughout the cemetery. Currently, the cemetery s in-house maintenance section is the primary providers for routine inspection and minor repair services for all irrigation systems outlined within the SOW. The services provided are intended to supplement and complement the efforts of the cemetery s maintenance section. At this time, no solicitation exists. Therefore, DO NOT REQUEST A COPY OF THE SOLICITATION. The period of performance shall be a 12 month base period and four (4) option years to be exercised at the Government s discretion. All work will be performed during the normal work week and shall not take place on Federal Holidays or weekends. Responses must be sent to the following address and received no later than 2:00PM on September 15, 2017 though the vendor portal: https://www.vendorportal.ecms.va.gov Your responses must include your business size, capabilities statement and socio-economic status information. You must have a current Online Representation and Certifications Application (ORCA), and be registered in SAM. You must also be registered in VetBiz Registry if applicable.
