- Questions and Answers. Q: Where does the government expect the VPN tunnel to terminate on the carrier side? A: VPN tunnel to terminate at carrier's network, not at a device. Q: How are devices currently sourced? A: Devices are purchased from multiple vendors. Q: What are the cellular data requirements for each unit? A: Approximately 650KB per month. Q: Does the government require service for existing devices? A: The government requires service for existing Iridium tracking devices. Specifically, the Micron Bolt, AT Prime, TC68S, NAL i50, and Shout GSM devices. Q: Are respondents required to be Federal Contractors. A: Respondents must be registered in www.SAM.gov to be considered.
