Description

Redacted J&A The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Customs and Border Protection (CBPS) intends to contract with General Dynamics Mission Systems, INC. for 100 Sectera vIPer phones with PTSN connect. The statutory authority for use of other than full and open competition for this transaction is 41 USC 253(c)(1) as implemented by FAR subpart 13.5 and consistent with the content requirements of FAR 6.303-2. CBP's secure communications program has transitioned over to the new Voice Over IP device, vIPer Phone. See attached J&A for further information. A determination not to compete this requirement is within the discretion of the Government. This notice is for information only. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals/quotations and no formal solicitation package is available. No award will be made on the basis of any proposal/quotation or other information received in response to this notice and this is a notification of intent to acquire supplies/services and not a request for proposals.
