Page 1 of 2 THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL OR QUOTE; THE VA IS NOT SEEKING PRICING OR OFFERS. The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 20, in support of Roseburg Veteran Affairs Healthcare System, Roseburg, OR is currently requesting information in order to determine the existence of viable commercial sources capable of providing Radiation Badge Monitoring Services. The intended contract period of performance is for a base year plus four (4) one-year options periods. Description of Services: Provide a service for monitoring radiation exposure (radiation dosimetry) to employees of the Roseburg VAMC (RVAMC). A service is being purchased which includes a product (dosimetry device) which is returned to the vendor for analysis. Vendor will provide personnel dosimeters (devices that measure personal radiation exposure) to the RVAMC meeting the following requirements: Regulatory: Dosimeters must meet all applicable Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) requirements including 10 CFR 20.1501 (any vendor must be NVLAP certified for the types of exposure potentially incurred at RVAMC. Furthermore, any additional Occupational Health and Safety (OSHA) requirements will also be met. Data must be secured in compliance with all VA standards and requirements for security of personal identifying information and protected health information. Services Provided: The vendor will provide approximately 70 dosimeters ( body badges, collar badges, and ring badges for example) to be exchanged on a monthly basis. The dosimeters must be received by the first of every month. If the 1st falls on a holiday or a weekend, then it should be the previous working day prior to the first. ROSEBURG VA Imaging department operating hours are Mon-Fri 7-3:30pm, with the following holidays. The NAICS code assigned is: 561210 Testing Laboratories and the small business size standard is $15.0 million. The Government is not soliciting offers at this time, and it will be the Contracting Officer who will determine which suggested changes are accepted. This is a sources sought notice to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources. A solicitation is not currently available. Responses to this request will be considered for the purpose of determining how the requirements will be stated and how the procurement will be conducted. This sources sought announcement is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or to award a contract. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this synopsis or any follow-up information requests.
