Description

Sole Source Justification- REDACTED Southwest Regional Maintenance Center (SWRMC) Procurement Code 410, San Diego, CA, intends to solicit and award a sole source, firm fixed price purchase order for direct replacement parts/components for the existing port and starboard sides pad-eye slings in support of the USS STOCKDALE (DDG-106) to The Entwistle Company, 6 Bigelow Street, Hudson, MA 01749-2638. The Entwistle Company is the original equipment manufacturer and all manufactured parts on the sliding padeyes are considered proprietary to The Entwistle Company. This contract action is for supplies for which the Government will solicit and negotiate with only one source per 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302; only one responsible source and no other supplies or services satisfy the requirement. This notice is NOT a request for quotes. A determination by the Government not to request quotes was made and responses to this notice are solely within the discretion of the Government.
