Description

Redacted J&A Southwest Regional Maintenance Center (SWRMC) Procurement Code 410, San Diego, CA, intends to solicit and award a Sole Source, Firm Fixed Price contract for four (4) each ABS Certified Geislinger Coupling Type BC 90/25/70U in support of the USS SAN DIEGO (LPD-22) to Geislinger Corporation, 200 Geislinger Drive, Battle Creek MI 49037. Geislinger Corporation manufactures and provides US Navy LPD17 Class ships with Geislinger Couplings. This contract action is for supplies for which the Government will solicit and negotiate with only one source per 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302; only one responsible source and no other supplies or services satisfy the requirement. This notice is NOT a request for proposals. A determination by the Government not to request proposals was made and responses to this notice are solely within the discretion of the Government.
