- The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) intends to enter into non-competitive contract actions with incumbent contractor, Assure Software, Inc. The Premium Maintenance covers period of performance 10/01/17 through 09/30/18. The acquisition is for annual proprietary software resource maintenance with the incumbent contractor. Maintenance to include technical support, access to the vendor's Support Portal (Help Desk), free upgrades and updates to the latest version of Resource Scheduler. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, "Only One Responsible Source and no Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements." The NAICS is 511210. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals or a solicitation of offers. No solicitation document is available. Interested parties may submit their interest and ability to meet IRS needs. However, responses received by noon September 15, 2017 as a result of this notice of intent will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement for the follow-on acquisition. A determination by IRS not to open this requirement to competition based upon any written responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of IRS.
