Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Service Area Office Central Region Office located in Minneapolis, Minnesota intends to issue sole source a firm fixed priced commercial item contract to Siemens Medical Solutions USA INC. for the VISN 15 VA Medical Centers. Siemens Medical Solutions USA INC to perform preventative and emergency maintenance, including parts, glassware, and detector coverage of the Siemens Inveon SPECT/CT, Inveon DPET, and 2443BWT system, in accordance with original equipment manufacturers written procedures. The services will be performed at the VISN 15 VA Medical Centers. A sole source procurement will be issued to Siemens Medical Solutions USA INC because they are the sole Siemens authorized service provider. Siemens Medical Solutions USA INC has been trained by Siemens to maintain and service Siemens equipment based on the manufacturer s guidelines, enabling Siemens Medical Solutions USA INC to provide these services under the provisions of their own terms and conditions of service to the customer. The maintenance and service of this equipment is needed to carry out the continuity of patient care. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1 and 13.106-1(b) (2), "soliciting from a single source." The NAICS code is 811219 and has a size standard of $20.5M for this procurement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement and submit quotations no later than 4 PM CST, September 12, 2017 to Julieann.Willie@va.gov. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
