- NOTICE INFORMATION Title: Air Force Sustainment Center - Small Business Event - Small Business Industry Day (SBID) Posted Date: 13 September 2017 Synopsis: The Air Force Sustainment Center (AFSC) is pleased to announce a Small Business Industry Day (SBID) to be held for Hill AFB, UT (specific event location will be announced when available) during the second week of February 2018. All small businesses are welcome to attend. Small businesses (SBs) that respond to this notice may be invited to brief in the general session during the SBID. The mission of the AFSC is to Sustain Weapon System Readiness to generate Airpower for America. The center provides war-winning expeditionary capabilities to the warfighter through world-class depot maintenance, supply chain management and installation support. The AFSC provides critical sustainment for the Air Force's most sophisticated weapons systems, including: A-10 Thunderbolt II, AC-130, B-1 Lancer, B-52 Stratofortress, C-5 Galaxy, C-17 Globemaster III, C-130 Hercules, E-3 Sentry, E-6 Mercury, E-8 Joint STARS, EC-130, F-15 Eagle, F-16 Falcon, F-22 Raptor, HC-130, HH-60 Pave Hawk, ICBM, KC-135 Stratotanker, MC-130, MH-53 Pave Low, RQ-4 Global Hawk, U-2 Dragon Lady, and UH-1 Iroquois aircraft as well as a wide range of aircraft engines and component parts. The AF Sustainment SBID event will provide a targeted forum for interested SBs to 1) allow SBs to privately brief senior government representatives on their specific capabilities and 2) hear about potential prime contractor business opportunities within the AFSC. SBs are advised that this SBID opportunity is targeted to the AFSC Broad Areas of Interest (BAI) and the associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) codes identified in this announcement. Briefing time limits may be required in order to accommodate all topics of interest during the event. Companies will be notified in advance of their invitation to brief, the exact location of the event and of any briefing time and/or attendance limitations. To be considered for this unique opportunity to brief, a SB must provide a white paper(s) (not to exceed 5 pages) describing their capabilities directly related to the BAI/NAICs codes in this announcement. SBs may submit multiple papers but only one per BAI. Selected SBs will be expected to brief during the general session company core capabilities during the SBID. Papers for purely commercial like services (including information technology, security, advisory and assistance services, & other management services) will not be considered for this targeted event. White papers are due no later than 11 October 2017 (30 days from the date of this posting to FBO). Submit questions about the BAI white papers and the event to the points of contact listed below. Questions received may be answered via amendment(s) to this announcement if deemed relevant to all parties unless a specific request for privacy is included.
