- This Sources Sought Notice is for market research purposes only. This is NOT a request for quotes or proposals. SCOPE: This requirement provides the minimum requirements for (3) Fork lift service lifts Handling Specialty Model FLE-30W2 or equivalent. Salient Characteristics: General Requirements: The Fork lift service lifts shall be new and one of the manufacturer’s current models with screw type lifting mechanism design capable of operation in accordance with the requirements herein. The Fork lift service lifts shall have spare parts, maintenance and instruction manuals. All parts subject to wear, breakage, or distortion shall be accessible for adjustment, replacement, and repair. Lift Capacity. The Fork lift service lifts shall have a lift capacity of 30,000 LBS. Overall Size. The maximum requirements for overall size shall be 120.5 inches wide, by 143 inches long. Entry Width. The minimum requirements for the entry width shall be 99 inches. Raised Height. The Fork lift service lifts shall have at a minimum raised height of 72 inches. Runway Width. The Fork lift service lifts shall have at a minimum runway width of 16 inches. Max. Runway Adjustment. Runway must adjust to a maximum of 93 inches. Max. Wheel Base. The Fork lift service lifts shall have at a minimum the ability to accommodate a max wheel base of 125 inches. Rise Time. The Fork lift service lifts shall have at a minimum a rise time of under 3 minutes to its max height. Lowered height. The height of the lifting platform, when in lowered position, shall be no more than 12 inches to the top of platform. Approach Ramp. The approach ramp should be at a 10 degree angle or 17% grade and should be approximately 65 inches long. (The angle and grade of ramp can be adjusted to meet lowered height requirement as given in section 3.1.9 of the SOW) Motor. Electric motor direct driven and located within the lifting frame. Voltage. The Fork lift service lifts shall be supplied configured to operate on 208-230 Volts 3 Phase AC. Controls. Control Panel shall be mounted on a corner post and have “Dead Man” style push-button controls. Design. The Forklift Service Lift platform must be raised and lowered by a suspended screw. Safety and Health Requirements.. The manufacturer shall ensure that the Fork lift service lifts and all equipment and accessories used on the machine shall be in compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 29 CFR 1910. The Anniston Army Depot is seeking responses from all responsible sources, including large, and small business concerns. Small business concerns are defined under the associated North American Industry Classification (NAICS) code for this effort, 333924 Industrial Truck, Tractor, Trailer and Stacker Machinery Manufacturing. Size Standard is 750 employees. Please include your company's size classification and socio-economic status in any response to this notice. Responses must be received no later than 25 September 2017 at 4:00 P.M. CDT. Interested vendors are requested to submit a statement of the capabilities of their organization with respect to the government’s Request for Information. Responses should include: 1. Prospective firm's name, address, phone number, socioeconomic status and DUNS number 2. General information of firm's previous experience on at least two projects of a similar scope, complexity and value; including the title, location, brief description of work, and dollar value Responses should be "short and to-the-point." This Request For Information (RFI) is issued for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation. All information received in response to this RFI that is marked as proprietary will be handled accordingly. In accordance with FAR 15.201(e), responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this RFI. The Government is under no obligation to issue a solicitation or to award a contract related to this project. NO FURTHER INFORMATION IS AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. THIS RFI IS FOR MARKET RESEARCH ONLY. This RFI will expire on 25 September 2017 at 4:00 P.M. CDT.
